DHA launches unified electronic system in Hatta unit

DUBAI, November 22, 2017

Dubai Health Authority has launched the unified electronic system "Salama" Hatta Hospital, improving operational efficiency and professional practices.

The final phase of Salama was launched earlier this week in Latifa Hospital, Hatta Hospital, Thalassemia Center, Dubai Gynecology and Fertility Center and all DHA Medical Fitness Centers.

Salama is a DHA-wide project that aims to provide patients and doctors access to medical records through a patient portal and ensure that the electronic patient medical record is available across the DHA health facilities.

The first phase was launched in April in Rashid Hospital, Barsha Health center,  Airport Medical Center, Dermatology Center and Dubai Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Center while the second phase was launched in Dubai Hospital, Dubai Diabetes Center, the Family Gathering Center and all Primary Health Care Centers.

So far more than 1.4 million DHA patient medical records and more than 112 million transactions have been transferred to the Salama system.

Humaid Al Qutami, chairman of the Board and director general of DHA said Hatta Hospital is among the authority’s priority for development and that the hospital encompasses a big part of the authority’s projects and initiatives, stressing that the DHA spares no effort in providing the best ways of care and health services.

He added that Hatta has succeeded in completing the needed expansions both in terms of infrastructure, facilities, technology and specialization to meet the increasing demand for hospital services to Hatta residents and the surrounding areas.  

The CEO of Hatta Hospital, Dr Saif Alwali Al Badwawi said the Salama project has made a noticeable difference in the performance and services provided by the hospital.

He said the hospital provides state-of-the-art services through its 33 departments reaching customers in 13 areas that include: Al Shuwaib in Abu Dhabi, Al Madam, Wadi Al Hilo and Kalba in Sharjah, Masfoot and Muzairah in Ajman and Al Houlat, Al Manaie, Wadi Al Qour and Shoka in Ras Al Khaimah, to name a few.

Dr Saif added that the services provided by the hospital include family medicine, childcare, general dentistry, staff clinic, emergency center that operates around the clock and 22 specialized clinics. – TradeArabia News Service
