Healthpoint partners with Abu Dhabi Sports Council
ABU DHABI, September 10, 2017
Healthpoint, the multi-speciality hospital in Abu Dhabi and part of Mubadala’s healthcare network, recently announced a strategic partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), designating the hospital as its official healthcare partner.
The full-scale partnership includes a bespoke wellness program for employees and their families, to empower them with the necessary tools to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
As part of the partnership, ADSC will have access to Healthpoint’s team of public health experts, nutritionists, physicians, and world-class facilities, to help address injury prevention, physical rehabilitation, and provide the very best care for athletes, coaches and staff. Healthpoint’s experts will also be available to provide live coaching and encourage positive lifestyle changes.
Aref Hamad Al Awani, ADSC General Secretary, signed the agreement and said: “We value Healthpoint’s position as pioneers in sports medicine and orthopedics and have great trust in the quality of their service and people. This agreement serves as a strategic partnership that aligns with our long-term commitment to the development of Abu Dhabi’s sports industry, and in creating a legacy of good health by providing education and programming that enables an active lifestyle."
Sports medicine and orthopedics are one of Healthpoint’s centers of clinical excellence and the hospital has implemented numerous initiatives to elevate the quality of their offering. Offering a range of treatments grounded in the latest internationally-recognised approaches, the facility has also partnered with Manchester City Football Club (MCFC) to work with their doctors in enhancing sports medical care.
“We are delighted to have a partner such as the Abu Dhabi Sports Council who mirrors our values, and we strongly believe that the partnership will help advance our mission to inspire positive change within the sports community. We believe that awareness and knowledge play a powerful role in the path to better health, and our wellness-coaching program is designed to equip athletes with information and amenities to empower them to maintain healthy lifestyles,” said Dr. Mai Al Jaber, deputy medical director, head of the Women's Wellness Initiative and Public Health at Healthpoint.
This partnership also aligns with the UAE Government’s healthcare agenda and serves the nation’s Vision 2021 of achieving a world-class healthcare system, with the aim of ensuring a longer, healthier life for the community. - TradeArabia News Service
