Al Noor Hospitals Group rebrands as Mediclinic
ABU DHABI, April 3, 2017
All Al Noor Hospitals Group (ANHG) facilities will be rebranded under the Mediclinic name following the merger of ANHG with Mediclinic International.
The merger took place in February 2016.
Due to regulatory formalities, the rebranding of all units will take approximately one year to complete. However, the necessary procedures for renaming all ANHG hospitals is complete and they will be rebranded as Mediclinic from April 3, the hospial group said.
Although Al Noor is a familiar name to many Abu Dhabi residents, and has loyally served them with high quality healthcare services over the past 30 years, the entry of Mediclinic into the Abu Dhabi market ensures an exciting and positive future for private healthcare patients in the capital, a statement said.
Mediclinic assures patients - past, present and future - of its commitment to build on ANHG's foundations of excellence and to deliver exceptional levels of international-standard healthcare to all customers.
Mediclinic is dedicated to the long-term development of specialist healthcare services for the people of Abu Dhabi, it said.
With an overall value of more than $2.2 billion, Mediclinic's merger with Al Noor is a clear indication of its commitment to the Abu Dhabi region. Several redevelopment projects have already been instigated since the merger was finalised in February 2016, the statement added.
Mediclinic Middle East is part of Mediclinic International, one of the world's largest private hospital groups with three operating platforms in Southern Africa (South Africa and Namibia), Switzerland and the UAE, and a 29.9 per cent shareholding in Spire Healthcare, a UK-based healthcare group with 38 hospitals.
Combined with Al Noor, Mediclinic's UAE arm, Mediclinic Middle East, is the largest private healthcare provider in the country with six hospitals, more than 70 inpatient beds and a network of more than 20 outpatient and day surgery clinics in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. - TradeArabia News Service
