DUBAI, January 30, 2017

The Japan External Trade Organization (Jetro) is fielding 20 medical technology firms at the four-day Arab Health 2017 exhibition which opened today (January 30) at Dubai World Trade Centre.

The Japanese pavilion, its largest ever at Arab Health, showcases the latest health innovations and technologies, all while receiving visitors and investors from around the globe.

Eleven are first-time participants, while nine are repeat participants continuing their uninterrupted streak of participating every year in the region’s largest scientific-medical summit and exhibition.

Their participation is a step forward in strengthening and further boosting Nippon’s advanced technology in the field of quality healthcare delivery systems, a statement said.

“The companies who take part in this exhibition shed light on the latest technologies and showcase a multitude of exceptional healthcare innovations. These include ultra-thin needles that lessen patient discomfort, a new anti-decubitus air mattress system and micro blades with uniquely shaped edges for fine incision. This calibre of innovation is why Japan has been a long-time pioneer in the industry,” said Masami Ando, managing director of Japan External Trade Organization (Jetro) — Mena.

These 20 manufacturing companies focusing on healthcare needs such as infection control products, rehabilitation and physiotherapy equipment, hydrotherapy medical devices, automatic labelling systems, disposable surgical needles and gentle lighting will be able to make a great impact in the highly competitive industry in the Middle East, according to the statement. – TradeArabia News Service
