DHA introduces advanced procurement system

DUBAI, August 27, 2016

The Dubai Health Authority’s purchasing and contracts department has introduced advanced procurement systems which will help further streamline processes and improve efficiency, it said.

Iman Al Jallaf, contracts and procurement manager at the DHA, said the project aims to ensure all contractual procedures are electronic and will include everything from recording transactions to selecting qualifying suppliers to contract management. This will help enhance efficiency and speed up processes.

She added that for the first time Dubai Government-level supplier registration is electronically linked with the Department of Economic Development to match information and validity of business licence of the vendor.

She added that the new project will enhance transparency and reliability and competitive bidding. It will also reduce time and effort and will help in optimum utilisation of human resources since processes will move from manual to electronic. - TradeArabia News Service
