Bloom unit conducts energy audits on UAE properties

ABU DHABI, March 14, 2016

UAE-based Bloom Holding said one of its subsidiaries, Emirates International Property Services (EIPS), has conducted walk-through audits for 22 of its properties across the country following a comprehensive evaluation of its energy use by Energy Management Services – Emirates (EMS), a leading energy solution provider.

EIPS, which offers a full range of property and integrated facility management services, said the audit validates the reliability of control procedures undertaken by the company to ensure the energy efficiency and environmental sustainability of buildings under its management.

Performed by EMS, the walk-through survey identified energy performances and developed a strategy road map for Bloom Properties to improve the energy efficiency of its buildings and make them greener and more sustainable, said a statement from the company.  

Potential energy saving methods were identified through an energy consumption analysis conducted by experts from EMS Smart Property Solutions that enabled the creation of a smart facility through the optimisation, integration, and automation of energy systems.

Mohamad Abou Laban, the general manager at EIPS, said: "As part of our priority to improve comfort levels and indoor air quality through increased energy efficiency, the company collaborated with EMS to ensure optimal energy management and achieve cost efficiency across all our facilities."

"This initiative articulates our priority to support the sustainability vision of the government of the UAE," he stated.  

He stressed that sustainability was at the core of its strategy for cleaner communities.

"In performing a detailed review and regular assessment of our systems, we seek to promote sustainability across our developments by exercising better control over the quality and energy efficiency of our facilities," he noted.

Khaled Bushnaq, the chief executive of EMS, said: "We are delighted to have partnered with EIPS to help them reduce their energy consumption by performing a comprehensive energy audit."
