GCC is urged to be on Zika virus alert

MANAMA, February 2, 2016

Countries in the Gulf are being urged to take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Zika virus, which is believed to be specifically dangerous to infants. The alert has been issued by the World Health Organisation (WHO), despite no cases of the virus being reported in the region, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
