A five-year strategy to slash Bahrain’s medicine bill has been proposed following a three-day meeting of experts in Manama. It will now be referred to Health Ministry chiefs and could form the basis of a national effort to reduce spending on medications, with millions of dinars being wasted, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
