The world's biggest night run is set to thrill Abu Dhabi residents as the emirate’s first Electric Run is set to take place on January 29, 2016.

Organised by UAE-based Daman, the 5k ActiveLife Electric Run will follow on from the launch of the Dubai event on November 6 at Meydan.

The 5k route includes seven course lands: Electro Rainforest, Rainbow Road, Candy Lane, Neffmaus Land, Colour Brick Road, The Powerhouse and Under the Sea.

With tickets selling fast and thousands of Electric Runners already signed up for the Dubai event, organisers expect a similar buzz when the race hits Abu Dhabi. “We are delighted to bring to the UAE capital the world’s most social fun run. Soon Abu Dhabi residents will have the chance to buy tickets with their friends and family for this unique music and light spectacle, so watch this space,” said David Sanderson, event director from race organisers Fast Track.  

Hailed as the World’s Brightest 5K, the event is open to people of all ages. Aspiring Electric Runners are welcome to not only run the race but walk and dance their way to the finish line where they will be treated to a post-event concert with an epic light show and DJ sets. – TradeArabia News Service
