New hospital brings world-class healthcare to Abu Dhabi
ABU DHABI, August 9, 2015
Medeor 24x7 Hospital, a multi-speciality family hospital that has recently opened up in the heart of Abu Dhabi, is offering top quality healthcare to the population, via its 130 doctors and 450 nurses spanning 24 specialities.
Pieter Slabberts, CEO of Medeor 24x7 Hospital, revealed that the doctors and healthcare professionals had been handpicked for their expertise and quality of work. “With doctors of such a high calibre it is a given that international best practices are always followed when it comes to patient treatment and care.”
The hospital endeavours to close the gap in healthcare services identified by Haad in Abu Dhabi’s Vision 2030. Says Slabberts: “The UAE’s relatively small population has hindered the government’s development of specialty care practices, and gaps still exist across the nation in critical areas such as women’s care, oncology, paediatrics, and diabetes care.
“At Medeor 24x7 Hospital, we are working to close those gaps, with paediatrics and women’s healthcare, pulmonology, neurosciences, psychiatry being some of the key specialty areas we have invested in.”
In addition to the above field, the hospital has also invested in cardiology, with the department managed by highly qualified cardiologists with access to the most advanced equipment in the field.
The neuroscience department is also at the forefront of innovation, aiding in paediatric and adult prevention and treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders.
Staff has been selected from all over the world in order to properly serve the multi-cultural population of Abu Dhabi; over 19 languages are spoken combined.
Furthermore, 56 per cent of the staff is female, to cater to cultural sensitivities and help ensure guests are as comfortable as possible. -TradeArabia News Service
