Haj pilgrims in Bahrain urged to get vaccinated

MANAMA, July 15, 2015

People planning to perform Haj are being urged to report to their respective health centres to undergo medical tests and get vaccinated during the last week of this month.

Haj Medical Mission co-ordination committee chairman Dr Ali Al Baqqara said that booklets including health tips would be distributed to pilgrims at their respective centres, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

He urged pilgrims suffering from chronic diseases, such as diabetes, cardiovascular problems and blood pressure to take their medication on their trip and urged Haj contractors to hold lectures to inform them about prevention of infectious diseases and enhance their awareness.

He called on contractors to advise pilgrims whose health is unstable to put off their pilgrimage plans for this year for their own medical safety. - TradeArabia News Service
