Umm Sequim primary health centre to shift base to Al Barsha

Dubai’s Umm Sequim primary health centre will shift its base to Al Barsha primary health centre, according to the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
The patients registered with Umm Sequim health centre will now have access to newer facilities with several specialist clinics at Al Barsha health centre, which functions 24 hours, said a statement.
Dr Manal Taryam, chief executive officer of Primary Services Centre at the DHA, said: “ We will close the Umm Suqeim health centre on December 14 and the clients registered with the Umm Suqeim health centre can visit the Al Barsha health centre.
“Umm Suqeim health centre needed an upgrade and we are looking into plans to build a state-of-the-art health centre in the Umm Suqeim area. Clients will have access the Al Barsha facility which is accessible, functions round-the-clock, has several specialist clinics and can easily accommodate additional number of clients.”
Dr Amal Bahroun, acting-director of Healthcare Centres department within the primary healthcare sector at the DHA, said: “Several of the staff members from the Umm Sequim health centre will shift base to Al Barsha and other health centres in region 2.
“The Al Barsha health centre has several consultation rooms and can easily accommodate additional clients. The centre also has speciality clinics including the, family medicine, traveller’s clinic, obstetrics clinic, child health services, dental, diabetes, ophthalmology, wellness, osteoporosis, orthopaedics and ENT clinics.” - TradeArabia News Service
