1000 workers in UAE to get free medical check-up
Dubai, July 31, 2014
Around 1000 workers in UAE are expected to benefit from the health campaign launched by Dulsco and Groupon.
To ensure workers take appropriate health measures, especially during summer, Dulsco and Groupon have joined forces to set up a unique CSR driven initiative in UAE.
Dulsco, a regional leader in human resource solutions and waste management services, in association with Groupon has launched the campaign called ‘Gift a free medical check-up for a worker’. This charity campaign was launched to help workers monitor their health.
Dulsco has a state-of-the-art medical clinic that offers comprehensive medical services to private and corporate patients in the UAE. Conveniently located in Al Quoz, the clinic provides quality health services at an affordable price with the assistance of a team of renowned medical practitioners, it said.
The clinic has facilities which include a laboratory, radiology centres, pharmacy, and much more and is touted as one of the best out-patient medical centres in Dubai.
Groupon users can help the cause by clicking the “Support” button located on the exclusive page set up for the campaign. For every 10 unique "Support" clicks that the Groupon page receives, Dulsco will gift a free medical check-up coupon to a worker. Dulsco will identify labour camps and distribute these coupons to the workers who would then need to visit the Dulsco Medical Clinic to avail this offer.
“Contribution to society is one of Dulsco’s core values. At Dulsco we regard health as an important factor to work efficiently. Through this cause, Dulsco aims to provide workers access to health check-ups and medical advice, teach them how to take preventive measures, maintain oral hygiene and lead a healthy lifestyle,” said Mubarak Kozhikkal, head of Dulsco Medical Services.
“The medical check-ups include physician consultation, height, weight and body mass index (BMI) check, blood sugar and blood pressure monitoring. In addition, workers will receive consultation on dietary, nutritional and oral hygiene and will be given information on handling and preventing heat strokes and other important health tips that can be practised in their daily routine,” concluded Mubarak. – TradeArabia News Service
