Al Ain Civil Defence ties up with disabilities centre

Abu Dhabi, December 18, 2013

The Al Ain Civil Defense Department said it has signed a deal with the Al Ain Center for Care and Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities.

The MoU aims to communicate and build community partnerships with various sectors, organisations and bodies, particularly those who provide services, said a statement from the Civil Defense Department.

Lt Col Rashid Mohammad Hamar Ain Al Darmaki, the department’s director, said the deal aims to establish a co-ordination framework, enhance co-operation between the two departments, and develop the community-based rehabilitation system.

“This would allow both parties to take advantage of the resources available to them and assist people with special needs and help develop their abilities in areas related to civil protection and safety,” he remarked.

“The MoU also aims to develop the mechanisms that will contribute to the implementation of joint projects between the Civil Defense Department and the rehabilitation centre for this particular segment of society,” Al Darmaki added. - TradeArabia News Service
