Summit to highlight latest OHS practices
Abu Dhabi, December 2, 2012
Latest developments on smarter, safer and more focused processes for improved occupational health and safety (OHS) operations will form the agenda for an upcoming OHS summit in Abu Dhabi.
The second Middle East OHS Strategy Summit 2013 will take place from February 25 to 27.
The findings and achievements of understanding and managing safety culture at the workplace will be presented by Bob Arnold, health safety director - Europe and Canada & vice chair of IOSH from Brookfield Multiplex.
“Over the last few years responsible companies in the Middle East are realising OHS is an integral part of business performance and if they are not organised for OHS they will not be profitable or sustainable, OHS KPI’s should be embedded within a company’s institutional fabric at all levels of the organisational hierarchy to have a positive effect of behavioural and cultural change,” said Andrew Broderick, director of EHSS, Sustainability and CSR, Aldar Properties.
The complete focus of this conference would be on OHS challenges and issues in the Middle East. The importance of committed leadership in driving a safety culture and the role of government in influencing this are need of the hour issues that this conference will bring to light.
The conference will feature 19 presentations, three panel discussions and enticing hours of networking sessions, before culminating with post conference workshops on the final day.
This conference will broadly be attended by the industry leaders and influencers to exchange and impart knowledge on the intellectual discussions of successful OHS strategy implementation. – TradeArabia News Service
