Alba backs top BDF cardiac centre

Manama, May 27, 2012

Aluminium Bahrain recently donated BD10,000 ($26,523) to support the Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Cardiac Centre – part of the Bahrain Defence Force Hospital.

Alba’s commitment to broadening the benefits of state-of-the-art cardiac care treatment to Bahrain residents and supporting the development of advanced health care services in the kingdom provided the key incentive behind the donation, said a company statement.

The chairman of Alba’s Board of Directors, Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji met the director of the cardiac centre, Dr Raisan Hamood Al Badran in early May to present the cheque on Alba’s behalf as well as assure its continuing support to the facility.

The Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Cardiac Centre has a well established reputation for its highly specialised cardiac care facilities, the latest technology in cardiac care, and an expert team of qualified and experienced consultants on board.

Commenting on the Alba move, Al Kooheji said, "Over the past forty years, Alba has remained committed to support any initiatives that enrich the quality of life for Bahrain residents."

"We see it as part of our responsibilities as a true corporate citizen, and hence, it gives us immense pride to provide our continuing support to the cardiac centre for its key role in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac patients in Bahrain," he remarked.

"It also enables us to extend our backing to the development of advanced health care services in Bahrain," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
