GE Healthymagination in spotlight

GE Healthcare put the spotlight on its innovative healthymagination initiative aimed at reducing costs, and promoting sustainable and precision healthcare at the 'World Health Care Congress Middle East' in Abu Dhabi.
Co-sponsored by the Health Authority and the Tourism Authority of Abu Dhabi, the congress was held from December 5 to 7 at Beach Rotana Hotel in the UAE capital.
GE Healthcare, as ‘Educational Underwriters’ of the event, highlighted initiatives which were critical to the region in addressing the pressing healthcare challenges.
The event brought together more than 500 global thought leaders and decision makers in the industry who shared global best practices and discussed key issues including the soaring healthcare costs, which is billed to jump five-fold to $60 billion by 2025.
Aziz Koleilat, general manager at GE Healthcare for the ME, said: “The World Health Care Congress is an important platform for showcasing global best practices that are key to addressing the pressing healthcare challenges faced by humanity today.”

At the congress, three of GE Healthcare’s senior leaders shared their insights with the participants. GE Vice President of healthymagination Michael Barber discussed about ‘delivering sustainable healthcare.’
He also lead a salon discussion on ‘Identifying Real World Solutions to Improving Hospital Efficiency in the Middle East,’ said the company statement.
Barber was joined by Dr Saadi Taher from Saudi Arabia's National Guard Health Affairs and a select group of health influencers who spoke at length on the innovative real-world ideas and actions besides seeking solutions for private sector and government engagement to improve hospital efficiency.
At the session, GE Vice President and GE Healthcare Global Performance Solutions president and CEO Jan de Witte provided an overview of performance solutions, while Barber explained the various aspects of healthymagination, and its application across the region including Saudi Arabia.-TradeArabia News Service
