Riyadh, March 6, 2010
Royal Philips Electronics, which has been present in Saudi Arabia for more than 50 years and has established representative offices in Jeddah and Dammam, has opened a new head office (HO) in Riyadh.
The new HO will serve as the centre of the company’s operations for Saudi Arabia, which will support the company’s continuous growth and to better serve current and future customers, a statement said.
“Our expansion and continued growth in Saudi Arabia is a testament to our unwavering commitment to the region, and is part of a strategic vision that has long recognized the Middle East as an important part of the global economy,” said Louis Hakim, vice president of Royal Philips Electronics and CEO of Philips Middle East.
“In 2009, Philips registered a sales growth of 50 per cent in Saudi Arabia,” he added.
Philips’ health and well-being offer is powered by three sectors: healthcare, lighting and consumer lifestyle.
Philips has chosen the Canary Centre to accommodate the new office as a result of its unique environmental system and ecologically friendly premises. The office is fully fitted with energy efficient lighting fixtures, the statement added.
“With health and wellbeing in the forefront of Philips’ business strategy, the Canary Center provides us with an ideal working environment. Energy efficiency is a topic on everyone’s mind which is why we are setting an example and contributing towards a greener environment,” Hakim concluded. – TradeArabia News Service
