Physiotherapy focus at Dubai forum
Dubai, March 4, 2010
International and local experts will present updates on how physiotherapy helps in spine and knee treatment, pediatric neurology, and caring for aging adults in an upcoming medical forum in Dubai.
The third Emirates Physiotherapy Conference – Physio Dubai 2010 – will be held from March 28 to 30 at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel.
Organised by the Emirates Physiotherapy Society, the conference will host internationally renowned researchers, educators, clinicians and practitioners in physiotherapy, orthopaedics, neurosciences, paediatrics and rehabilitation medicine.
The conference will highlight the role of multidisciplinary approach in physiotherapy while providing physiotherapists in the UAE with an interactive forum to share updates on their practice and expand their learning networks across the world.
“Physio Dubai 2010 aims to fill the gap between practice and research and more importantly, underscore the importance of evidence-based practice,” said Abdul Adheem Kamkar, chairman of the Emirates Physiotherapy Society and Physio Dubai 2010.
“Leading physiotherapists, physicians and surgeons from the UAE will join the panel of experts at Physio Dubai 2010 to present the latest evidence in spine and knee treatment, pediatric neurology, exercise prescription for aging adults, sports medicine and use of real-time ultrasound in rehabilitation,” added Amal Al Shamlan, chairperson of the scientific committee of the conference. – TradeArabia News Service
