Oman’s national life insurer Muscat Life Assurance has joined hands with the UAE’s largest medical claims administrator Nextcare to launch its innovative healthcare service in the Sultanate.

Part of Allianz Group, one of the world’s largest financial services companies, Nextcare has been appointed as Muscat Life's Third Party Administrator (TPA).The company has also opened an office in Muscat.

Under this arrangement, Muscat Life will delegate its medical claims administration and settlements to the third party in order to provide a First Class local settlement service to its clients, said Shaun McCarthy, general manager, Muscat Life Assurance Company.

“Muscat Life plans to become Oman’s premier Life and Health insurer in the coming years,” he added.

According to McCarthy, the demand from both citizens and expatriates for affordable, quality private health insurance is increasing exponentially and the market is undergoing rapid growth.

'We are confident that Nextcare will enable Muscat Life Assurance to deliver a higher level of service to our healthcare partners and insured customers and we look forward to delivering best quality health insurance services in Oman,' he added.
