Pond’s launches new face analyser

Dubai, July 1, 2009

Pond’s, a leading retail face care brand, has introduced a new generation of the face analyser device, featuring new technology aimed at determining the needs for healthy and glowing skin.

The Pond’s face analyser detects and analyses the condition of the skin tested, before recommending the most suitable Pond’s skincare products for the consumer.

“The Pond’s face analyser is a unique device featuring pioneering technology that was discovered at the Pond’s Institute in New York,” said Iain Potter, home and personal care vice president, North Africa and Middle East for Unilever.

“This device provides accurate analysis of the skin which is not visible to the naked eye. We want consumers to find long lasting solutions to their skin problems therefore we encourage them to try the Pond’s Skin Analyser and get the complete examination for their facial skin,” he added.

“The Pond’s face analyser has integrated software that combines measurement tools to determine moisture, sebum (the semi fluid secretion of the sebaceous glands, consisting chiefly of fat, keratin, and cellular material), elasticity and skin pigmentation with a full face photo booth analysing the pores, spots and lines/wrinkles,” Potter continued.

“Consumers not only can see their current skin’s condition but also the result that they can achieve whilst using Pond’s products. This technology is the first of its kind and has never been used by our key competitors.”

Consumers can experience the Pond’s face analyser during the months July to December 2009 at major retailers throughout the GCC. Pond’s beauty advisors will assist consumers in taking the face analyser test and providing them with professional advice to maintain healthy, nourished and radiant skin. – TradeArabia News Service
