Medsol acquires labs in UAE, Kuwait

Dubai , June 23, 2009

UAE-based Medsol laboratories has announced significant regional expansion with the acquisition of new laboratories in UAE and Kuwait, just five months after the company’s launch.

A unit of Gulf Healthcare International, Medsol laboratories provides pathology testing services via independent and hospital laboratories across the Mena, catering to the growing regional healthcare sector.

In the UAE, Medsol has strategically acquired the Al Khaleej Lab (Al Ain), Lab Tech (Sharjah) Mediplus (Sharjah) and Al Abbar laboratories (Dubai).

In Kuwait, Medsol has acquired the laboratory department of Specialised Clinic Center, a high quality group practise in the heart of the popular Hawalli suburb.

Mark McGourty, CEO Medsol, pointed out that quality healthcare would remain a top priority despite unstable economic conditions and the region was well equipped to deliver world class service that caters effectively for its diverse population.

'Medsol is committed to leading positive and sustainable growth in Mena healthcare by providing a first class physician and direct to consumer offering; the new acquisitions are testament to the success of our quality service model,' he noted.

The new acquisitions take Medsol’s network to 14 operational laboratories - eight in the UAE, five in Kuwait and one in Saudi Arabia, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
