Twin expos spotlight healthy living

Dubai, April 5, 2009

The importance of healthy living is getting a boost in the UAE as two major consumer exhibitions - Women’s Healthcare and The Bride Show Dubai - aim to shed light on vital healthcare issues.

The expos, running concurrently from April 8 to 11 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, will together host top international wellness brands, products, and specialists, said the organisers.

With a focus on the distinct issues of the UAE, visitors can find the information and tools they need to improve their health and wellbeing.

For the first time the 'Nivea Skin Science Express' will be at the Women’s Healthcare exhibition to offer a sample of treatments from manicures to facials to skin testing.

The team will recreate their new Nivea Haus Dubai, located in Dubai Mall, which offers a beauty lounge and spa for women and a dedicated men’s grooming area.

Furthermore, one of the world’s most innovative health drinks is set to be launched at Women’s Healthcare and visitors will be among the first in the UAE to try it.

Bio Vera, launched by the World International Trade Corporation (WITCO), will be introduced to the market as the world’s first organic Aloe vera enzyme health drink.

Halal-certified by the Organic Board in Malaysia, Bio Vera is set to take the nutrition market by storm.  Aloe vera enzymes are extremely effective contributors to healthy immune function and overall wellness, the organisers added.

Bio Vera will help stimulate digestion, detoxification, nutrient absorption, and production of white blood cells, making the product essential to those dedicated to healthy living.

Meanwhile, at The Bride Show Dubai, the Biolite Skin Clinic will unveil their Placenta-Diamond facial, the first of its kind in Dubai and the ultimate treatment for brides-to-be who want to look their best on the big day.

Known enthusiasts of the Placenta-Diamond facial include Jennifer Lopez and Madonna, who undergo the treatment before red-carpet events, the organisers pointed out.

In the hot, dry climate of the UAE, the sun’s rays can be extremely harmful to the skin.  Biolite’s treatments are designed to restore youthful vitality and brightness to the face and body.

Biolite will be performing demonstrations of their signature treatments: oxygen whitening to brighten the complexion, and a mineral makeover, which offers natural sun protection without clogging pores.

Sietske Meerloo, marketing manager of Women's Healthcare, organised by IIR Middle East, said: “The breadth of experience and diversity of exhibitors at Women’s Healthcare and The Bride Show Dubai allow visitors to enhance general wellness or choose specific areas of their fitness profile that need improvement.”

“Treatments on offer target different layers of health, from aesthetic improvements to metabolic processes and cellular activity. Women are the key decision makers in the family when it comes to healthcare and many of our exhibitors will be providing advice and information for the whole family,” he added.

The Bride Show Dubai is the largest wedding and fashion event in the UAE and is expected to welcome more than 30,000 visitors.

More than 200 wedding industry experts and suppliers from around the world will come together under one roof in a showcase of international design excellence and consummate style.-TradeArabaia News Service
