Nestle backs Osteoporosis campaign

Nestlé Nesvita Pro-Bones supported the fourth Pan Arab Osteoporosis Conference.

It was part of the company’s continuous efforts to educate and spread awareness about ‘Osteoporosis’ in the region, said an official spokesman.

The conference was held at the Crown Plaza, Festival City, Dubai, from March 2 to 4.

The conference provided a forum for prominent international experts and regional specialists. The physicians attended included Mary Bouxsein – Assistant Professor, Orthopedic Biomechanics Laboratory, Harvard Medical School, Boston, US; Ghassan Maalouf – Professor of Clinical Orthopedics, Lebanon; Hussein Saadi – Senior Consultant Endocrinologist, Tawam Hospital, Al Ain, UAE and Samir Elbadawi – Professor of Rheumatology, Cairo University, Egypt.

The major topics discussed included Fracture Risk and Bone Health Issues, Therapeutics and Imaging in Osteoporosis and Regional and Global Epidemiological Osteoporosis Data.
