Pharma World begins work on Jafza facility

Newly formed pan-GCC pharmaceutical storage and distribution firm Pharma World Holdings has commenced work on a state-of-the-art facility at Jabel Ali Free Zone in Dubai.
The firm, which brings a track record of expertise to the region being a 50/50 venture between UAE based Ithmar Capital, Fund I and Banaja International Group, acquired the 10,000 square metre piece of land at Jafza earlier this year, where they will establish a 6,000 square metre warehouse by mid-2008.
“Our Jafza facilities not only provide high-tech pharmaceutical warehousing facilities, but also third party logistic provisions never before seen within the GCC,” said business development group director, Pharma World Holdings, Maher Kheder.
“The Pharma World Holdings business model basically frees up the manufacturer, allowing them to concentrate on their own product development, sales and marketing while we handle all distribution, from start to finish,” he added.
Pharma World Holdings provide a one-stop offering for international as well as local manufacturers. Their purpose designed IT technology makes them capable of accepting orders from manufacturers customers directly, process and ship received orders from warehousing facility, invoice customers on behalf of the manufacturer, advise manufacturers when to order replacement product while giving customers the option of letting them issue POs on their behalf.
Additionally, the company can handle the return inventory levels and provide for the outsourcing of all distribution associated requirements.- TradeArabia News Service
