MANAMA, 20 days ago

Injaz Bahrain, a member of Junior Achievement Worldwide (JA), and the BMMI Group, have renewed their memorandum of understanding (MoU) to empower Bahraini youth through BMMI’s Alosra Scholarship Programme, aimed at fully supporting Bahraini students in their higher education journey.

As part of the MoU, Injaz Bahrain and the BMMI Group conducted interviews to evaluate applicants based on academic performance, financial need, and other criteria.

Five new students were recently enrolled to the programme as part of the fourth batch of scholarship recipients, bringing the total number of supported students to 42 since the onset of the initiative in 2020.

Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairperson of Injaz Bahrain, said: "We appreciate BMMI's efforts in helping our students achieve their goals. This initiative aligns with our mission to empower Bahraini youth to succeed in the global economy.

“Through the Alosra Scholarship Programme, we are not only providing financial assistance but also opening doors to new opportunities and experiences that will positively impact their future."

The Chairman of the BMMI Group, Abdulla Buhindi, reinforced BMMI’s commitment to developing the capabilities of Bahraini youth, said: “Education is the foundation of a thriving society, and through BMMI’s Alosra Scholarship Programme, we are supporting these students and encouraging them to pursue their higher education, which will contribute to helping build a better future for Bahrain.

“Through our partnership with INJAZ Bahrain, we look forward to continuing our support of the students to reach their highest potential and to make a positive impact on the local community. We would also like to express how proud we are that BMMI is a partner in this programme and we wish the students further successes and achievement.”

Through the partnership, Injaz Bahrain and BMMI aim to support eligible students each year for three years, covering the costs for their higher-education programme at the University of Bahrain or Bahrain Polytechnic. – TradeArabia News Service
