Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation opens
DUBAI, September 4, 2018
The first multi-disciplinary design university in the Middle East, Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI), has officially opened its doors for its inaugural academic year, in Dubai Design District.
The institute offers a Bachelor of Design degree in collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Parsons School of Design. It welcomes students from across the GCC and the globe.
DIDI president Mohammad Abdullah said: "Everyone at DIDI has been waiting for this moment. It is our great pleasure to welcome the talented and eager first-year students of DIDI as we make history by officially opening the doors of the first multi-disciplinary design school in the region."
The campus in the Dubai Design District (d3) provides an immersive learning experience, with unique access to many of the region’s most established and renowned designers and innovators, it said.
