Tamkeen seals Huawei training programme deal

MANAMA, June 10, 2017

Bahrain's labour fund Tamkeen has signed a MoU with Huawei, one of the world's leading telecommunication service providers, to support its on-the-job training programmes.

The agreement is aimed at increasing the number of enrollees to the Huawei's international program, which strives to build national competence and expertise in China, said a senior official.

"Tamkeen's endeavour towards establishing partnerships with major international companies comes as part of our keenness to provide Bahraini citizens with specialised training of global standards in order to improve their skills and experiences, so that they become the first choice for employers," remarked its CEO Dr Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi.

"This MoU was signed in the context of our efforts to focus on developing individuals in the field of IT and telecommunications which is among the main economic sectors in Bahrain," stated Janahi.

Tamkeen is working tirelessly and constantly towards developing human resources and building expertise as well as talents to enhance their future employment chances and their productivity by taking advantage of flagship international experiences in various fields, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
