Etisalat partners with SMB business summit
DUBAI, April 23, 2016
UAE's leading telecom services operator Etisalat has joined hands with Wealth Dynamics Unlimited to host the Millionaire Summit 2016, a key event aimed at educating existing and aspiring entrepreneurs on cutting-edge strategies in today’s rapidly changing economic environment.
The event, which opens tomorrow (April 24) at The Address Hotel in Dubai Marina, is in line with UAE’s vision to promote small and medium business enterprises, said the event organisers.
Leading entrepreneurs, international players and start-up managers will be sharing their experiences, tips and insight on running a successful business during the two-day event.
The event features a keynote address from John Lincoln, senior VP for Small & Medium Business (SMB) at Etisalat. In addition, world-renowned speakers will share their inspiring stories, learnings, practical experiences and strategic insights.
The SMB sector has shown healthy growth consistently, abetted by the government’s efforts to create more fertile economic bases and the positive anticipation from Expo 2020, where more new businesses are expected on the sidelines.
As per recent news reports, UAE hosts around 350,000 SMBs, providing jobs for about 90 percent of private sector workforce. The SMB segment contributes 60 percent of the country’s GDP and the number is expected grow to 70 percent within the next six years in line with the National Agenda of the UAE Vision 2021.
On the event, Lincoln said: "We are excited about partnering with Millionaire Summit as it provides a forum where entrepreneurs and business owners can share a wealth of information, exchange ideas and get a head-start in their entrepreneurial journey. This initiative is unilateral with our vision to support the burgeoning SMB sector."
UAE, he stated, embodies dynamism, excitement and boundless potential for start-ups and SMBs. "More than 100,000 SMBs are estimated to set up shop in this country over the next three years. We understand that SMBs are a critical part of the economy, a segment that Etisalat wants to nurture, support and help grow," noted Lincoln.
"We believe in their best interests, which is to help their businesses stay connected and more importantly, get digitized," he added.
Oksana Tashikova, the founder of Wealth Dynamics Unlimited, said: "UAE, with its brisk business environment which encourages entrepreneurship, proactive approach, diverse cosmopolitan nature, and prime geographical location, all guarantee that there is something for everyone who wants to start a business."
"The government is obviously making every effort to create more avenues for entrepreneurs, facilitate their progress and turn UAE into a hub of business growth. In such a setting, summits like these empower existing and potential businesspeople with tools to work their way up. Particularly in this rapidly changing economy, when constant innovation is the name of the game, entrepreneurs need to diversify and evolve if they want to survive and grow. This, in a nutshell, is what Millionaire Summit will convey to them," she added.-TradeArabia News Service
