Bedaya inks co-operation deal with Qatar Finance School

Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, has inked a deal with Qatar Finance and Business Management Independent Secondary School for Boys aiming to enhance co-operation between the two parties and to provide counseling services and professional development for students.
 
The parties will work to raise awareness of students by holding lectures and workshops for students in professional development, entrepreneurship topics and the inclusion of students in the experience of work environment for those who wish, and to conducting preliminary tests and providing consulting sessions in coordination with the academic advisors.
 
Reem Al-Suwaidi, general manager of Bedaya Center, said: "This memorandum of understanding is an important step in the process of vocational and professional guidance in Qatar hence it facilitate, guide and strengthen ways of cooperation between the Centre and Qatar Fianance and Business Management Independent Secondary School for Boys. 
 
"In order to increase awareness about the importance of counseling and professional development in the state, and we are looking forward to invest in this new cooperative relationship to provide this kind of needed guidance and counseling tools for our students , and encourage them to explore the real life work methods closely.”
 
Ahmed Yussef Al Mahmood, QFS principal, said: "We seek to equip our students with all the tools that will make them able to go into all the practical experiences through training which would receive from the Bedaya Center where we share with the center the same commitment by developing and training our students to shaping the future of youth in the state, so we're excited a lot concerning this cooperation.”
 
Under the memorandum of understanding, Bedaya Center will be invited to take part in the various events held at the school and provide the opportunity for the Centre for promote its programmes, it will also allow Bedaya the Center to use all available sources at Qatar Finance and Business Management Independent Secondary School for Boys, and encouraging school students to participate in events and activities hosted by Bedaya Center, in addition to  announcing of all the Centre's programme through  the school’s various communication channels such as social networking sites, emails, and SMS.
 
Qatar Finance and Business Management Independent Secondary School for Boy in co-operation with Bedaya, will organise a series of special workshops with basic skills for students which covers professional development, which includes CV writing , career planning, interview skills, and will also provide a number of opportunities for Qatari Students to experience work environment in several institutions within the State of Qatar who are interested in discovering the reality of the work environment.
 
Bedaya Center will also support the school’s academic advisor by providing a number of professional and academic guidance sessions to students, and providing technical support to the school’s advisers and counselors in terms of programmes and tools of vocational guidance, in addition to organizing a number of incentive and motivational workshops for students presented by pioneer and row model Qatari entrepreneurs. - TradeArabia News Service
