Dubai Courts, MBRF to promote joint work

Dubai Courts and Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MBR) Foundation recently signed an agreement to promote joint collaboration and the exchange of knowledge on the sidelines of events under the #Arabic initiative.
The #Arabic initiative, one of the key programmes to promote the Arabic language through social and digital networks, coincides with the celebration of the ‘Arabic Language Day’ on December 13, and the events will continue to take place at the Dubai Courts premises until December 17.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will work to achieve the highest standards within the institutional sectors and research fields to achieve excellence and promote joint efforts towards human resources development and citizenship. The two parties will continue to work on collaborative projects and specialized training workshops to continue their coordination and transfer of successful experiences.
The MoU was signed by Taresh Eid Al Mansouri, general manager of Dubai Courts, and Jamal Bin Huwaireb, a representative member of the MBR Foundation.
Al Mansouri confirmed the importance of the #Arabic initiative as a qualitative step towards promoting the use of the Arabic language, which is an essential pillar of national identify and which has been preserved and consolidated by the country’s wise leadership as a part of authentic Arab heritage for current and future generations. He emphasized the importance of promoting the Arabic language within all aspects of life, including digital and social networks – the major features of the 21st century.
“Dubai Courts’ participation is not only limited to the activities of the #Arabic initiative to actively promote in spreading the Classical Arabic language and related literature to encourage its correct usage through social media, but also to reinforce our commitment to support all initiatives and national activities with an aim to establish a sense of belonging and responsibility within society. We commend the MBR Foundation for its efforts to achieve this, and we look forward to promoting our joint cooperation with them to serve the goals and objectives of building a well-educated and integrated society in line with the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed,” added Al Mansouri.
“The #Arabic initiative aims to encourage Arab societies to use their mother language in electronic media and enrich Arabic content on the internet and various social network platforms along with social and institutional websites. We thank Dubai Courts for their effective contributions to this cultural initiative and at the same time, we invite all government and private organizations to follow in a similar manner to support the spread of the Arabic language on the world map,” Huwaireb said.
Activities organized by Dubai Courts as part of the #Arabic initiatives comprise a series of educational and entertainment activities, including Dubai Courts Judges and Staff Books exhibition which will be held for five days to explore It also includes an Arabic Calligraphy exhibition which attracted the best experts and professionals involved in this art along with many workshops and seminars showcasing the best features of the Arabic language.
Various writers and calligraphers from the Arab World joined the activities, including Dr Aisha Al Busmait and Abdallah Al Nuaimi, a writer who headed a comprehensive conversational group to discuss various features of the Arabic language and how to enable it.
An Arabic poetry competition was also being held on the sidelines of the event with an aim to emphasize poem writing skills and poetic diction of the judges and court’s staff, as well as a social networking contest. The winners will be declared at the end of the event. – TradeArabia News Service
