ISAS hosts open house for parent-teacher collaboration

DUBAI, September 23, 2015

The International School of Arts and Science (ISAS), managed by Academia Management Solutions International (AMSI), hosted an open house to facilitate deeper interaction with parents and welcome the new academic year.

Held for parents with wards in KG to grade eight, the open house was aimed at better understanding of resources that are dedicated towards the personal and intellectual development of the students, said a statement.

The activities for the open day house involved presentations by the head of departments and a speech from Muhieddine Soubra, the principal.

The presentations by the heads outlined the vision and mission for each department and demonstrated what parents could expect the children to gain from their time spent at ISAS.

This was followed by a question and answer (Q&A) session wherein parents received a broader understanding of ISAS’ approach towards education and its renewed plans for the new academic year.

During the classroom sessions, teachers acclimatised the parents with nuances of their lesson plans, topics covered during a lesson and the thought behind homework and exercises given during the vacation.

The parents were later given important literature that charted out the details of the pedagogy that will enable their students to embrace education actively and implement teachings in everyday life.

The open house was also used as an opportunity for parents to explore ICT services provided by ISAS as the school continues to make significant strides towards embracing technology in teaching and communication with parents.

In addition to this, parents engaged with the faculty members and resources of the school amidst which their children spend the bulk of their time. - TradeArabia News Service
