MBS inducts new students to MBA programme
DUBAI, September 17, 2015
Manchester Business School (MBS) Middle East Centre in Dubai has enrolled 70 new students onto its 30-month part-time Global MBA programme, in the July student intake.
The new students are all experienced working professionals, 20 per cent already hold a masters degree and many are in senior specialist or management roles in multinational companies and prominent regional organisations, said a statement.
MBS’ new cohort of Middle East students comprises 19 nationalities with around 45 per cent of the new students resident in the UAE with the majority of the balance residing in other GCC countries, notably Saudi Arabia, it said.
About 24 per cent of the new students have been sponsored by their employers in some form, which includes meeting all or part of the tuition fees or allowing more time off for study and workshops.
The new cohort gathered in Dubai for the induction and first MBA workshops recently, hosted at Dubai Knowledge Village, and which included four Global Business Environment workshops, led by senior faculty from MBS.
Randa Bessiso, director Middle East at MBS, said: “Demand for the Manchester Global MBA programme remains consistently high in the region; experienced working professionals value the career benefits that our practical MBA programme offers, as well as the flexible study format with a strong face to face component, and the opportunity to study and network with other professional peers.
"The quality of this cohort was excellent and we were especially pleased to see so many company-sponsored students, and professionals from our ‘Talent Management’ partners join our programme in this intake.” - TradeArabia News Service
