Tamkeen, Bahrain’s labour fund, has shifted to an electronic payment system to expedite payments to customers and vendors, who will now receive funds directly into their bank accounts.

The shift to the new system, effective as of this week, comes as part of Tamkeen’s drive to provide better services to businesses and Bahrainis in the private sector.

To receive their due payments, customers and vendors must complete their registration process within the various support programmes provided by Tamkeen, which will include entering their International Bank Account Number (IBAN) on Tamkeen’s website (tamkeen.bh).

The IBAN system is an internationally approved system which allows for faster, more efficient, and convenient wire transfers, and is used by leading public and private organisations worldwide. – TradeArabia News Service
