UAE’s MoF in capacity building deal for employees

ABU DHABI, April 23, 2015

UAE’s Ministry of Finance (MoF) has signed an deal with Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart University on capacity building for its  employees who occupy second level leadership positions and who are enrolled in the training programme on leadership skills development .

The agreement highlights the commitment of both parties to offer a one-year training programme to develop leadership skills for 21 employees.

The university will equip participants with the necessary books and training resources, and assess them with questionnaires and exams, in addition to providing reports on performance and attendance to the ministry’s officials.

Musabah Mohammed Al Suwaidi, assistant undersecretary of Support Services Sector at MoF, highlighted the ministry’s commitment to enhance employee’s skills and capabilities to qualify them to deliver high quality work and progress in their careers.

“The Ministry continuously seeks to cooperate with various specialised entities to provide the best academic and practical training for all its team members. This is to enhance the Ministry’s ability to achieve its strategic vision aimed at reaching global levels in the management of financial resources,” he said.

The programme is divided into two phases, whereby the first phase includes four assessments on general knowledge, fifteen factor personality questionnaires (15FQ+), and 360 degree evaluations on logic.

The second phase incorporates enrolment in a professional diploma in leadership skills which focuses on basic management and leadership skills, strategic planning, management of human resources, building and leading teams, effective communication and overall quality management. - TradeArabia News Service
