Alba reaffirms equal opportunities at work place

MANAMA, March 26, 2015

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) has reaffirmed its reputation as a company that champions equal opportunities at the work place by providing sponsorship to the 63rd FCEM World Congress which concluded in Bahrain today (March 26).

Alba also hosted a gathering for members of the congress, where they were briefed about the smelter’s operations and the role of women in the success of the company.

Abdul Rahman Janahi, director of administration, said: “The women in Bahrain have set examples not just for Bahrain but also the GCC. Alba has the maximum number of women employees in any industrial company in Bahrain, and we are proud of their leadership and immense contribution towards the Company’s success.”

Held under the patronage of Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President, the 63rd FCEM World Congress is a high-level networking event for women entrepreneurs organised by the Bahrain Business and Professional Women International Federation (BPW) in co-operation with the Council of Arab Business Women (CABW).

Bahrain was the first GCC member state and second Arab nation to host this conference. - TradeArabia News Service
