Midwan pioneers high-tech edutainment in Mideast

Jeddah-based technology company Midwan is pioneering high-tech edutainment in the Middle East with its innovative combination of 3D learning, hologram and virtual reality solutions.

It has developed a futuristic range of products which have almost unlimited applications in education, medicine, industry and edutainment, said a statement.

Midwam’s new digital centre is the largest interactive venue in the Middle East and demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting the advanced technology available in the region today, it said.

The firm recently entered into a partnership with Eon Reality, a US-based technology provider, and provides its world-leading virtual and augmented reality technology, comprising hardware, software and content development, which have applications in education, entertainment, medicine and industry for both the government and the private sector.

Sheikh Saleh Kamel, chairman of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are proud to support this shining example of Saudi Arabian innovation which is setting the standard for the rest of the world. The creation and use of technology in the Kingdom is at an extremely sophisticated level, which benefits all sectors within our society.”
