Skyline allocates funds for ATDD employees

Sharjah’s Skyline University College has allocated a Dh1 million ($272,216) scholarship fund for Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) employees.
A memo of understanding was signed, under which ATDD personnel can get their bachelor and master’s degrees from the college in the field of business administration, said a statement.
The fund allocation will be in the shape of fee discounts amounting from 15 to 50 per cent for the coming three school semesters, said Faisal Al Nuaimi, ATDD general manager.
Skyline University College will offer research-related consultative services, in addition to training courses in the domains of marketing management, finance, human resources, project management, strategic planning, accounting, information technology and English language, he said.
A number of staff members may also have a British Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality, as well as courses for tour guides.
Nitin Anand, CEO of the college, said ATDD will allow Skyline University College students to get training in the tourism fields and help invite experts as guest lecturers at the college to get the students posted on best practices.
ATDD will provide Skyline University with statistics that would benefit students and lecturers and also cooperate with the college with regard to event management and marketing, he added. - TradeArabia News Service
