Alhosn hosts architectural expo in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi-based Alhosn University is hosting an architectural exhibition and seminar in collaboration with the University of Florence, Italy.
The two-day exhibition entitled ‘Projects for Sustainable Cities of Tomorrow,’ concludes today (March 16) at the Alhosn University campus in Abu Dhabi.
It features the works of the universities’ students along with key lectures from Prof Marko Sala, University of Florence and Dr Mohamad Kashef, dean of research and graduate studies, Alhosn University.
The exhibition is showcasing ultra-modern student design ideas integrating sustainable building technologies and urban development practices.
It has also broadened the collaboration between the two universities via a comprehensive academic agreement covering student exchange programmes, faculty interaction, and joint research.
Prof Sala will discuss innovative design and energy controls for sustainable environments, while Dr Kashef will address the applications of nanotechnology in building and sustainable design.
Prof Munther Momany, vice chancellor and CEO of Alhosn University, said: “The exhibition is expected to provide an excellent opportunity for our students and faculty to exchange ideas with one of Italy’s leading architectural institutions.
