AMA programmes win EU re-accreditation

AMA International University - Bahrain has won re-accreditation for three of its business programmes from the European Council for Business Education (ECBE).

The university's head of the administration Buena Gracia Canzana received the accreditation certificates during the 18th annual conference of ECBE, with the theme "Global Co-operation in Business Education: Pan-European Initiatives".

The conference was attended by the delegates from the universities in England, France, Russia, Czech Republic, Belgium, Austria, US, Guatemala, India and Bahrain among others,  reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

Last year, an ECBE panel conducted a re-accreditation visit.

The panel was chaired by Prof Vladimir Kureshov with members, Prof Bob Johnson and Prof Robert Rietbroek. The ECBE is a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.

Keynote speaker and ENQA president Dr Achim Hopbach spoke about the role of the association in promoting quality education.-TradeArabia News Service
