Bahraini undergraduate and postgraduate students have until Thursday to apply for scholarships to study in Japan.

Registration is now open for Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Scholarship for next year.

The scholarship covers air fares between Japan and Bahrain, tuition fees and a monthly allowance.

Undergraduate applicants must submit the required documents to the Education Ministry before Thursday.

Postgraduate applicants can submit applications to the Education Ministry or the Japanese Embassy before the same day.
