Silah Gulf, the contact centre and business process outsourcing (BPO) company, has appointed Fathia Al Awadi as its new human resource manager.

Silah Gulf is a joint venture formed in 2009 between Bahrain's eGovernment Authority and Merchants.

In her new role, Al Awadi will report to chief executive officer Joe Tawfik and focus on aligning the role of the human resource department with the growth of the organisation.

'We are delighted to welcome Fathia on board,' said Tawfik. 'As an employee intensive industry, BPOs and contact centres require a strong human resource department.'

'Fathia's extensive experience in training and development will make her a valuable member of Silah's management team,' Tawfik added.

With more than 15 years of experience in human resource, Al Awadi has earlier worked at Reef Real Estate Finance Company and The Benefit Company where she focused on training and staff development.-TradeArabia News Service
