DuPont tops 'best workplace' list

Dubai, May 14, 2011

DuPont, the global science-based products and services company, topped the list of “Best Places to Work” among large companies by The Scientist in the magazine’s ninth annual survey.

It is the first time that DuPont was named to the top spot, a statement said.

“The recognition is meaningful and significant because employees can participate in the survey,” said Benito Cachinero-Sánchez, senior vice president – DuPont Human Resources.

“We are proud of our scientists and engineers. DuPont’s success is directly tied to their creativity, innovation and dedication to excellence.”

Editors at The Scientist said: “By forging new relationships and finding novel uses for existing technologies, the companies topping this year's survey are employing creative ways to advance science and expand their markets.”

DuPont ranked first among top large companies and 10th overall. The company secured 689 new patents and successfully commercialized more than 1,700 new products in 2010.

“DuPont has become a powerhouse of technology and innovation in the science industry,” The Scientist noted.

DuPont business Pioneer Hi-Bred was awarded second place among large companies and 12th overall.

Editors noted their ability to “establish relationships with international companies to exchange ideas and products to make their operations more efficient and promote advancement in science.” – TradeArabia News Service
