Emal plans major recruitment drive
Abu Dhabi, March 19, 2011
Emal, a JV between Dubai Aluminium Company Limited and Mubadala, said it is looking to recruit UAE nationals to help develop technical careers and support both emiratisation and economy.
The aluminium smelter based in Taweelah, Abu Dhabi, will take part in the "Careers UAE 2011" expo to be held in Dubai from March 21 to 23.
The company said qualified individuals in the fields of mechanical, electrical and chemical engineering and maintenance were needed for the highly skilled technical work undertaken by Emal.
Emal president and CEO, Saeed Fadhel Al Mazrooei said: “We want to recruit the next generation of talent to ensure a successful future for both Emal and the Emiratisation and diversification efforts. Our team is ready to inform and inspire potential candidates about the exciting career opportunities open to them.”
"Are you ready to be part of the next generation of engineers, technicians and craftsmen? That is the question Emal is asking," said Al Mazrooei.
Emal is a state-of-the-art facility which is producing 750,000 tonnes of highly quality, reliable aluminium for 82 customers in 19 countries in 2011, an output which will double when phase two of the smelter goes operational.
Al Mazrooei said career fairs were one of the main avenues for recruiting Emiratis. "Emal has recruited 120 Emiratis in the past two years through such fairs and we want to extend this record of success,” he added.
Careers UAE follows the successful employment drive in January at Tawdheef 2011 in Abu Dhabi, with Emal responding to most applicants with their application status within two weeks.-TradeArabia News Service
