Kenexa to unveil leadership research findings

Dubai, January 22, 2011

Kenexa, a global provider of business solutions for human resources, is set to release its 'Leadership Research for 2010,' highlighting the key challenges faced by corporates globally and the GCC.

The report aims to list the strengths and limitations of existing corporate leadership structures, said a statement from Kenexa.

The findings of the research will be revealed at the ‘Kenexa Gulf HR Exchange: Unlocking Leadership Potential’ event to be held in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha from January 25 to 27.

The event will discuss the key findings of the research, its implications for the GCC region and recommended practical solutions to overcome pressing challenges.

At the Kenexa Gulf HR Exchange, Tommy Weir, VP for Emerging Markets Leadership of Kenexa, will present an overview of ‘Leadership Effectiveness in the GCC’ and Chris Parry, managing director - Leadership Practice, will provide the guidelines for ‘Developing High Performance Leaders.’

Sue Maple, Human Resources director, Barclays will present a paper titled, ‘Our Time Has Come.’

'Today corporations in the GCC are facing serious structural challenges, ranging from scarcity of qualified labor and low employee engagement to high turnover rates, which are hurting organizational performance and hindering the growth potential,' observed Maple.

'It will require strong Leaders for organizations to overcome these obstacles, boost performance, and succeed in the GCC,' he added.

Chris Parry pointed out that leaders need to do very different things when the external environment is becoming more complex, dynamic and challenging.

'Our research has identified and articulated these factors and what is innate versus what can be developed. There are four critical clusters of behaviour that high performing leaders use - thinking, achieving, developing and inspiring,' she explained.

'No individual has strengths in all four but they can be learned and developed. Organisations need strategies to identify and develop individual leaders and to ensure all key areas are developed,' Parry added.

By understanding leadership and its role in the local labor market, Kenexa will recommend practical solutions that help business leaders in the region become more effective at engaging and motivating employees to perform at their fullest potential, said Weir.

The seminars include interactive discussions demonstrating the importance of leadership inmaximizing business efficiency.-TradeArabia News Service
