Petroleum Institute picks Verisae IT solution
Minneapolis, January 9, 2011
The Abu Dhabi-based Petroleum Institute (PI) has selected Verisae’s Sustainability Resource Platform (SRP) software for energy management of their campus buildings.
By using Verisae’s solution, PI expects to reduce energy consumption by 10 per cent.
The Institute will initially leverage Verisae’s open web-based energy management and analytics solutions to manage their educational and administrative buildings in Abu Dhabi. In the future, they may use Verisae’s maintenance, water, waste and carbon emission modules to quantify the effects of facility maintenance on the environment.
“We were initially drawn to Verisae’s energy management capabilities, but as we learned more about the SRP Platform, we came to appreciate its versatility,” said Dr Clarence Rodrigues, the PI’s health and safety executive.
“We were also impressed with Verisae’s extensive global experience. They offer a mature product with a measureable return on investment.”
The PI plans to utilise Verisae for more than just energy management; they want to use the capabilities as an educational tool for students. They understand that managing energy efficiently to reduce consumption and related costs is a vital business priority for all organisations.
“Verisae is pleased to be working with the PI and we’re excited about our expansion into the Middle East,” added Dr Abtar Singh, vice president of business development at Verisae.-TradeArabia News Service
