Maktoum Foundation joins best employer study

Dubai, December 25, 2010

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation said it has joined hands with Hewitt Associates, a leading human resources consulting and outsourcing services, for the largest employee research project in the Middle East region.

The study, 'Hewitt Best Employers in the Middle East,' aims to provide key insights for participating organizations into attracting and retaining talent in this region.

It will help participants understand what characteristics are required in an organization to be considered one of the best employers in the area.

A MoU was signed by Sultan Lootah, the executive director in the Entrepreneurship department in the Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum Foundation, and David Jones, Middle East Business Leader in Aon Hewitt Company, in this regard.

'This initiative goes in accordance with Mohammed bin Rashid's Foundation's strategic vision which takes into account the different sides of the work labor equation,' Lootah remarked.

'From this set point, the Foundation has done everything that is required to make the 'best employer’s ' initiative work. We are determined that this initiative will improve the competitive atmosphere among employees which will reflect in the general work environment of labour markets,' he added.

Sammer Mardini, talent and performance solution leader, Middle East and South in Aon Hewitt Company said: “The study continues to provide a definitive benchmark against which you can measure how effective your organization is in providing a workplace that engages the intellectual and emotional commitment of your employees.”

'While revealing how organizations in the Middle East are achieving a real competitive advantage through their people, the study also indicates where your organization is at on its journey to being a Hewitt Best Employer,' he added.-TradeArabia News Service
