Bahrain Polytechnic partners with Bapco
Manama, November 4, 2010
Bahrain Polytechnic, the kingdom’s leading professional and technical training institution, has partnered with Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco).
The purpose of the partnership is to cement cooperation between both entities to ensure that future skill sets demanded as Bapco can be met by the institute.
According to John Scott, founding CEO of the Bahrain Polytechnic, close interaction with industry is a major part of their strategy to ensure there is a talent pool of work-ready graduates available to fulfil future industry needs.
“As an important part of the kingdom’s Education Reforms, identification of the skills sets required in the coming years is part of our mission at Bahrain Polytechnic. We are providing the highest levels of education and training to our graduates to fulfil those needs.”
An MoU was signed between Bapco and Bahrain Polytechnic earlier this year. At that time, both parties confirmed they will enter into a mutually beneficial arrangement whereby each will contribute to the success of the other, and ultimately to the economic and social prosperity of the kingdom.-TradeArabia News Service
