The programme is being launched to enable the students to pursue any specialization course being offered by the university, which is recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The university has opened registration for students interested in undergoing the foundation programme for the academic year 2010/2011.
The one year programme covers a number of subjects required by the various specialization courses on offer at the university, including college of business studies, college of engineering and applied science, college of computing, college of design (department of interior design).
"Al-Ghurair University offers the best academic and training programs, which meet the education and career needs and ambitions of students, while meeting the needs of the labor market for qualified human resources,” said Professor Dr Abdurahem Mohammed Al Ameen, president of Al Ghurair University.
He pointed out that the University, which offers bachelor degrees in many specializations, is fully recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Federation of Arab Universities, as well as by many Arab and foreign countries.
"This [foundation programme] is in support of this category of students. It is also to give them a second chance of obtaining university degree in the specialization of their choice through the programme, which enables the students to make for what was missing and to prepare them to pursue any specialization of their choice on offer at the University," he explained. – TradeArabia News Service
