Bin Hindi hosts GPS fleet training program

Manama, August 1, 2010

Bin Hindi Informatics, an IT solution provider in Bahrain, hosted a GPS fleet software training program at Jaffaria Waqf Directorate in the Kingdom in co-operation with High Tech Solutions, a Dubai-based Austrian IT solutions company.

The benefits and advantages of GPS Fleet Software were illustrated at the program, said a statement from Bin Hindi Informatics.

Topics such as GFS System Overview and External Influences; Overview and Maps; Working with Vehicles, Geofencing and Reports were discussed thoroughly at the training program, it said.

The program was conducted by Maria Theresa, the branch manager of High Tech Solutions Dubai, which specializes in GPS Fleet Software.

The current GPS Fleet Software version used by the ministry enables them to determine the hourly, daily, weekly and monthly activity of a vehicle.

GPS Fleet Software version 3.8.5 enhances the accuracy of the present system by providing “near-real-time” data acquiring and sending from the vehicle to the software, the sttaement from Bin Hindi Informatics said.

The more defined and detailed “monthly logbook report” is an addition to the existing number of reports such as Over Speeding, Assets Report, Waiting/Idle Time Report, Geofence Report and Driver Rating Report, it added.

Some of the benefits of the GPS Fleet Software include saving cost on fuel (Fuel Management) and maintenance by monitoring appropriate Driving Behavior by drivers and ensuring they are not using excessive speeds leading to paying high traffic fines.

This is accomplished by governing the desired asset Speed Limit and avoiding speeding by the asset. Efficiency and accurate reporting of driver’s hourly activity can be defined on Waiting/Idle time report. Detours can also be defined and avoided by creating an appropriate Geofence area saving time, gasoline and wasted lost hours waiting in traffic.

Bin Hindi Informatics service manager Binoy Varughese said the training will help staff of Jaffaria Waqf Directorate to fully utilize the advanced features of GPS Fleet management system like, multiple geo fencing, driving behavior analysis and fuel efficiency analysis.

The meeting was attended by Operations Department members Fatima Almandi, Ammar Razzaq, Hamad Al-Majeed and  Ali Saeed; (Head of Collection Unit) Hadi Salman, and computer system specialist Hassan Ahmed.-TradeArabia News Service
